Biomes

For the past couple of weeks, I've been doing some experimental painting to strengthen my background painting skills. To force myself to paint a wide array of landscapes, I started a little series of paintings of environments being painted within the silhouettes of different animals. I thought it might help me work on my detailing and help me understand how I can use negative space in the future.

I did the first two paintings earlier then the others and I don't really care for them anymore, but I'm posting them to complete the series and maybe show some progression.
